The Center is leading the field of children’s environmental health, advancing scientific knowledge, improving preventing, and informing policy. Our scientific investigators are conducting cutting-edge molecular epidemiologic research on links between early life exposures to common environmental pollutants and children’s health. Pollutants under study are widespread, such as global-warming gases from fuel burning and neurotoxicants such as residential pesticides. The health outcomes that CCCEH is studying have been on the rise in recent decades: asthma, ADHD and other behavioral disorders, and cancer. The results of our research are disseminated broadly to educate parents, physicians, and the larger public, and inform environmental health policymaking.
